Chemical, Biological & Radiological (CBR) / Bombs, Blasts & Bullets (B3)

The Disaster Preparedness and Management Directorate (DPMD) is pleased to offer both a combined Bombs, Blasts and Bullets (B3) and Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR) course, as well as a standalone B3 course

These courses are designed to provide participants with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to respond effectively to high-risk, complex emergency events. Content focuses on understanding the threat environment, associated risks and vulnerabilities, and the clinical management of casualties resulting from blast, ballistic and CBR incidents.

The aim of the training is to raise the participants awareness of:

  • Chemical, Biological and Radiological substances, and the associated clinical factors of decontamination and treatment of casualties exposed to these substances.
  • The special considerations agencies use to manage a Chemical, Biological or Radiological incident.
  • Reviewing the risk, threat and specific vulnerability to such an emergency, as well as the clinical management of casualties with injuries relating to these events in both pre-hospital and hospital settings.

This training is applicable to both pre-hospital and hospital settings, supporting a coordinated and informed response across the health system.
